Commonly referred to as local trains, Mumbai trains have three different lines- the Western Line, the Central Main Line, and the Harbour Line. This extensive network reaches almost all parts of the city and the suburbs. It is the most preferred way to commute amongst the people of Mumbai. The nearest suburban railway station from CSMIA's domestic terminals in Santacruz is Vile Parle (East). Andheri (East) is the nearest suburban railway station from the international terminal at Sahar. Mumbai is also well connected to the rest of the country by the railway network.
