About Pune Airport

Pune Airport (IATA: PNQ) is located 10 km from the city centre, in Lohegaon. It was established as a Royal Air Force (RAF) base in 1939. After independence, it was used by the Lohegaon base of the Indian Air Force (IAF). It was conferred the status of an international airport in 2005. The airport operates as a civil enclave. Formally known as Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, Agartala Airport (IATA: IXA) is located 12 km northeast of Agartala. It is the third-busiest airport in the Northeast. It was built by Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur in 1942.
