Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport (IATA: IDR) is a public airport that serves Indore city. Located approximately 8 km west of Indore, it is the busiest airport in the state. Lengpui Airport (IATA: AJL) is a domestic airport in Mizoram. The distance between the city centre and the airport is around 35 km. It is the only airport that serves the state of Mizoram. Lengpui Airport was the first large airport in the country to be constructed by a state government.
