Aizawl Airport, also known as Lengpui Airport, has a single terminal. It was built in a short span of 2 years and 2 months. It is one of three airports in India to have a tabletop runway. Tabletop runaway means the airport is at the top of a plateau. The runway is only 2,500 metres long. Due to the risky runaway, the planes are equipped with a CAT-I Instrument Landing system.
