A new terminal was launched in 2013, and the airport can handle peak-time passenger traffic of about 300 people. Direct flights are available to Hyderabad and Bengaluru through SpiceJet. However, many cities in India, such as Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, etc., are indirectly connected to the Pondicherry Airport. The management provides many facilities to the tourists, including wheelchair assistance, mobile charge points, and a tourist information centre.
