Gaya Airport (IATA: GAY) is an international airport located 10 km southwest of the Gaya city centre and 10 km northwest of Bodh Gaya. Belgaum Airport, also known as Belagavi Airport (IATA: IXG), is a domestic airport located at Sambre, 10 km east of the city. It was originally established by the British in 1942. The Sambra Air Force Station of the Indian Air Force, a training centre, is adjacent to this airport. In 1947, Indian Airlines began operations from here.
