The airport's single 3,290-metre (10,794-foot) runway can accommodate most narrow-body aircraft, including the Airbus A320, A321, and Boeing 737. Except for the civilian terminal, under the supervision of the Airports Authority of India, the Indian Navy handles all air traffic operations over Port Blair.
