Kandla Airport (IATA IXY) is located in the Kutch district of Gujarat. It is 7 km from the city centre. The airport was originally built during the 1950s, but actual passenger flight operations started later in 1960 and remained operational till 1999. The airport later resumed its operations after a gap of seven years in 2006. The airport is spread over an area of 268 acres and has a single integrated terminal that operates domestic flights to a handful of destinations such as Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Mumbai. The airport offers various amenities such as souvenir shops, prayer rooms, childcare rooms, free Wi-Fi, ATMs, baggage trolleys, wheelchair assistance, and a smoking lounge. In addition, there are several options for food and dining, including restaurants and cafÈs. Passengers can rent cabs from the airport premises to reach various parts of the city. Kandla, also a seaport, is located in the Kutch district in Gujarat. Now renamed the Deendayal Port Trust, it is a major seaport on the countryís west coast and by far the largest in the country in terms of the volume of cargo it handles. The official language of Kandla is Kutchi or Gujarati. The city is quite hot and can reach 45∞C or higher during peak summers. But the city does enjoy an average rainfall of 410 mm, which mostly occurs during the peak monsoon season. Kandla has a solid economy, thanks to its import and export business. Everything, from grains and oils to steel, chemicals, and even petroleum, is imported and exported from this port.

Bhuj Airport (IATA BHJ) is a domestic airport located 4 km from the city centre. The airport has a total area of 832 acres now. Previously, however, it only had two buildings near the Bhuj Rudra Mata Air Force Base. It has only one terminal with a capacity of handling around 350 passengers at a given time. There are two boarding gates, one for arrivals, and the other handles departures. Only about 200 people can travel through these two gates. The airport offers various amenities such as premium lounges, handicraft stores, coffee counters, prepaid taxis, information desks, free Wi-Fi, ATMs, baggage trolleys, baggage wrapping services, wheelchair assistance, and medical assistance. In addition, there are several dining options available here, including high-end and budget-friendly restaurants.

Bhuj is a small city and the municipality headquarters of the Kutch district. Legend has it that the whole Kutch was once ruled by Naga Chieftains. Bhujanga was the last Naga Chieftain, and the Bhujia Fort was named after him. The city sits on an average elevation of 110 m above sea level. There is a hill on the eastern side of town called Bhujia Hill. Bhujia Hill gets its name from the Bhujia Fort. The city has a hot desert climate for most part of the year. The people of Bhuj are very decent and mostly speak either Kutchi or Gujarati. The city mainly attracts tourists for its key historical locations, such as the White Desert, Aina Mahal, and Kutch Museum, among others.
