About Aizawl Airport

Aizawl International Airport (IATA Code: AJL), also known as the Lengpui Airport, is a domestic airport built and maintained by the Mizoram state government. In Mizoram. It is the first major airport in the country to be built by a state government and is situated 32 km from the city centre. Inaugurated in 1995, the airport has a tabletop runway of 2500 m, which offers a breathtaking view of the several hilly streams running below it.
