About Port Blair Airport

The Port Blair Airport (IATA code: IXZ), also known as the Veer Savarkar International Airport, is the chief airport of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Situated about 2 km from the city centre, the airport has a single terminal that handles domestic and international flights. The domestic terminal of this airport can accommodate 400 passengers during peak hours. Reputed airlines like SpiceJet, IndiGo, Go First and Air India operate flights to and from this airport. The airport offers facilities such as a snack bar and some shopping outlets selling local handicrafts. It also provides medical facilities and wheelchair services. A new terminal building is being constructed at the Port Blair Airport and is slated to be completed by October 2022. About Port Blair

Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, is well-connected via air to most major Indian cities.
