Also referred to as Salonibari Airport, it is located in the outskirts of Tezpur, approximately 10 km from the city centre. The airport was built in 1942 as an airbase during the Second World War. At present, there is only one terminal at the airport that takes care of both arrivals and departures. Currently, very limited flights on a few selected dates are operating from Tezpur to Guwahati, North Lakhimpur, and Pasighat. Alliance Air is the only carrier flying out of the airport. It offers various facilities, such as trolley and baggage services, assistance for aged and physically challenged people, stationary shops and eateries, for travellers. It is well connected to the town. You can take rickshaws, autos, and taxis to commute from the airport.

The Coimbatore International Airport (IATA: CJB) serves the city of Coimbatore and neighbouring areas. It is located in Peelamedu, about 10 km from the city centre. It is one of the busiest airports in South India in terms of passengers, cargo handling, and aircraft movement. It is the second busiest airport of the state after Chennai. The airport was upgraded to international status in 2012. Currently, it has a single terminal for both domestic and international passengers. It is well connected to all major Indian cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The airport is connected to two international cities ó Sharjah and Singapore. There are several facilities and conveniences available here, such as free Wi-fi, ATMs, currency exchange counters, smoking areas, medical services, child care rooms, lounges and several eateries and bars. The airport is located at a very convenient location that is served by buses (both public and private), cabs, auto-rickshaws and car rental services.
