About Agra

Agra, also known as the Taj city, is famous worldwide for the magnificent wonder of the world ñ the Taj Mahal. Situated on the banks of river Yamuna, Agra is located around 206 km south of the national Capital, New Delhi. With a population of 4.4 million, Agra is among the most populated cities in Uttar Pradesh. It is the 24th most-populous city in India. Though Agra has a reference in the Indian epic Mahabharata as "Agravana", the city was established by Sultan Sikandar of the Lodhi Dynasty in the early 16th century. Agra was the capital of Delhi Sultanate under the Lodhi Dynasty and later under the Mughal empire. In the late 18th century, the city was successively conquered by the Jats, Marathas, Mughals, the ruler of Gwalior, and finally, the British in 1803. Mughal architecture is best exemplified by Agra's Taj Mahal. Apart from the Taj Mahal, Agra has the Mughal Garden, Agra Fort, Akbar's Mausoleum, Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb, and Chini ka Rauza, among other monuments that showcase the incredible architectural style and grandeur of the Moghuls. Agra is also an industrial hub that is well-known for its leather products (mainly shoes), cut stone, and handwoven carpets. Agra is well connected with the major cities of India via rail, road and airways

About Goa Airport

Goa International Airport (IATA: GOI, ICAO: VOGO), around 30 km from Panaji, is a civil enclave operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). Due to its location in Dabolim, Goa Airport is also known as Dabolim Airport. Portuguese colonists built the airport in the 1950s. Indian Naval Forces occupied the region, following the Liberation of Goa in 1961. The existing passenger handling capacity of the Goa Airport is about 13 million passengers per annum. Due to capacity constraints and air traffic congestion from military operations at the naval base, a second airport was proposed at Mopa. Goa's Mopa International Airport should be operational by September 2022, doubling the daily flights landing in Goa from 70 to almost 150. The Goa International Airport at Dabolim has an integrated terminal equipped with restaurants, cafes, ATMs, baggage trolleys, currency exchange counters, duty-free shops, information desks, and taxi stands. An intercity bus service connects the airport with various parts of Goa. Taxis or rental cars can also be booked within the airport by travellers.
