Nagpur Airport, also known as Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, is located in Sonegaon, Nagpur, Maharashtra. Its foundation was laid in 1917 ñ 18 during the First World War. This air terminal was used as an organising base during the Second World War.The Nagpur Airport is spread over an area of 1,460 acres and has a single integrated terminal for domestic flights and a few international flights. Guwahati Airport, formerly known as 'Borjhar Airport,' is now officially called Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport. It serves as the principal airport for India's North-Eastern states. The airport is located in Borjhar, around 28 km from Guwahati. The airport is named after the Late Gopinath Bordoloi, a freedom fighter and Assam's first Chief Minister, following India's independence. The Airports Authority of India manages the airport, which also acts as a base for the Indian Air Force. The major airlines that operate here include Air India, Air Asia, IndiGo, Go First, and SpiceJet.There are two terminals at Guwahati International Airport.
