About Hyderabad

Hyderabad is the largest and most populated city in the south-central Indian state of Telangana. It is the main urban hub for the whole south-central heartland of India. Hyderabad served as the state capital of Andhra Pradesh from 1956 until 2014, when Telangana was created from Andhra Pradesh. At that time, Hyderabad was renamed to serve as the capital of both the states. Telangana is one of India's most technologically advanced states, with Hyderabad as its capital. Bhagyanagaram was the old name of this city. Hyderabad is also known as the "city of pearls'' because a significant amount of pearl trading comes from this area of the state. Built in 1591, Hyderabad was established with the Charminar at its centre. With the addition of a new northern suburb on the Musi River, the Army Cantonment at Secunderabad and a thriving high-tech estate known as Cyberabad, it has expanded far beyond the original city walls. Hyderabad, a significant highland region of the Deccan, is situated on the Musi River at the centre of the Telangana Plateau. The city is situated in a relatively level area at an elevation of 1,600 ft in contrast to the gradually rolling landscape around it. The region experiences a warm to hot monsoonal climate with average yearly precipitation.
