Chhatrapati Rajaram Maharaj Airport or Kolhapur Airport is a regional airport and the only airport in the city. It is operated by the AAI (Airports Authority of India) and is situated 9 km from the main city. The airport has been operating in the city since 1987 and was initially maintained by MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation). However, the responsibilities were later transferred to AAI in August 2013. Currently, a new terminal building and ATC complex is being built to expand the area and handling capacity of Kolhapur Airport. The new building is also expected to add 10 new check-in counters at the airport.

Kolhapur is a well-connected and well-known city in Maharashtra. It is located on the banks of the Panchganga River.
