About Tirupati Airport

The Tirupati Airport commenced operations in 1971. In 1993, Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao laid the groundwork for a new terminal building, runway expansion, and radio tower at a total cost of Rs. 110 million (USD 1.5 million). The Government of India declared the Tirupati Airport an international airport in June 2017. To meet international traffic and international chartered flight requirements, the AAI expanded the airport to accommodate Code-E aircraft. On February 20, 2019, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu placed the project's foundation stone. In emergencies, upgrading the airport to Code-E allows it to function as a diversion airport for two neighbouring metropolitan airports, Bengaluru and Chennai. The current runway will be expanded to 3,810 m (12,500 ft). A new apron to handle wide-bodied aircraft will also be constructed by February 2020. Spending Rs. 1.75 billion (USD 23 million) for its construction, a new integrated terminal called the Garuda Terminal was built adjacent to the current domestic terminal on 16,500 sq m of land. It can transport 500 local and 200 foreign passengers at a given time. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister, laid the foundation stone in October 2010. Construction began in 2012, and on October 22, 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the terminal. The new terminal has 18 check-in desks, four immigration counters, four luggage conveyors for arrival and one for departure, three baggage claim carousels, two VIP lounges, and parking for 250 vehicles.

About Hyderabad

With the various titles given to Hyderabad due to its prominent trade, delicious cuisine, and fantastic products, Hyderabad might just be the City of Epithets. Some nicknames include the City of Pearls, the City of Nawabs, and the Biryani City. Also, due to the large number of technology-based enterprises in the city, Hyderabad is called Cyberabad. It is a 400-year-old city founded as the capital of the Qutb Shahi Dynasty by Quli Qutb-ul-Mulk, who is credited with transforming the Golconda citadel from a mud castle to an extended granite construction until it was destroyed during a war later. Today, Hyderabad is the capital of the newly formed Indian state of Telangana, located on the Deccan Plateau on the banks of the Musi River. The city is a huge metropolis of retail malls and glass-and-concrete office towers. While the city's present infrastructure may cause traffic congestion and inconvenience tourists, the city's revitalising feeling of warmth, culture, and tradition will more than compensate for it.
