Vijayawada airport, also known as the NTR Amaravati International Airport with IATA code VGA, is an International Airport with a single terminal. It started operating in the year 2003. The airport is spread across 850 square meters connecting domestic flights to major cities like Delhi, Chennai Coimbatore, Tirupati and Mumbai and connecting international flights to Musket, Kuwait and Dubai. The airport is located around 17 kilometres from the city of Vijayawada in the region of Gannavaram. The airport lies on National Highway 16 which connects Chennai to Kolkata.
