About Jamnagar

It is not an exaggeration to say that Jamnagar in Gujarat has hidden treasure. Jamnagar is a hub for pearl fishing and brass utensil manufacturing. Thanks to its many temples, it houses Rajput architectural marvels and is considered a pilgrimage. Founded by Jam Raval in 1540 AD, Jamnagar is at the confluence of the Rangamati and the Nagmati rivers. Its present-day look is due to Sir Edward Lutyens, the architect of New Delhi, who designed the city. To modernise Jamnagar, the renowned architect developed comprehensive plans with parks, axial roads, gardens, entrance gates, and residential plots spread across the city.
