About Jodhpur Airport

Jodhpur Airport (IATA: JDH) is a major domestic airport in Jodhpur located about 3 km from the heart of the city. Initially established as the Jodhpur Flying Club, the airport was constructed by Maharaja Unmaid Singh in the 1920s. It was built across a small airfield in the Chittar Palace of Jodhpur. This airfield was upgraded during the 1950s as a consequence of the formation of the Indian Air Force. Its civil enclave is spread across an area of 12 acres and has one terminal building.
