The Kolkata Airport (IATA: CCU), also known as the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, is located in the Dum Dum area, around 14 km away from Kolkata city. It is the 5th busiest airport in the country and is one the countryís oldest airports. It was named after the famous freedom fighter from West Bengal, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Its daily operations are handled by the Airport Authority of India. There are three terminal buildings at the airport for domestic, international, and cargo flights.
