About Jaisalmer Airport

Jaisalmer Airport (IATA: JSA) is situated on the southeast of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, around 14.6 km from the city centre. Indian Air Force operates this joint-use airport, a civil enclave working on the base of the Indian Air Force. The airport was not used for passenger aviation until 2015. Also, it was closed for services till 2017 due to security reasons, as stated by the Indian Air Force.

The airport has a single 9,000 ft runway and, until recently, a single terminal for the entire traffic. The Airports Authority of India recently built a new terminal at the airportís southern end. The flights from this airport connect the city to Bangalore, Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Jodhpur, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.
