Located in Andheri, 8 km north, Mumbai Airport (IATA Code: BOM) consists of two passenger terminals, one domestic and one international, in Santacruz and Sahar, respectively. During the summer season, the air is dry, while the humidity levels increase greatly during the monsoon season. Rainfall is almost negligible during the rest of the year beyond the monsoon season.

Located on the island's southern tip, 17 km from the centre, Agatti Airport (IATA Code: AGX) is the only airstrip in the entire Lakshadweep region. The airport is domestic and has a single terminal, with one boarding gate currently handling only domestic scheduled flights. The capacity of this terminal is 25 each for departures and arrivals. It has one check-in and one security counter. Wheelchairs, baggage services, and medical care are available at the airport premises. It also has snack bars and beverage counters. The scenic beauty of the airstrip is another undeclared asset of the airport. Auto-rickshaws and ferry services are available near the airport.

Agatti Island is said to be one of the most visited places in Lakshadweep, even though you will find that some other islands are more developed when compared to this tourist destination. As it is situated on the coral atoll, 459 km from Kochi (a state in Kerala), the coastal region is formed from dead corals. The culture here is unique and diverse, with vibrant religious festivals and tribal festivities. The food is unique, with a huge influence imported from Malabar cuisine. Idli, dosa, aviyal, biryani and the famous Malabar parotta are some of the most important dishes besides fish. The climate of Agatti Island is somewhat humid, as the place is surrounded by water on all sides. The weather continues to be sunny, hot and humid throughout the year.
