About Hyderabad

Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana, is a culturally, historically, and gastronomically rich city. The city was initially known as Bhagyanagaram. Over the centuries, it has also gained popularity as the City of Pearls. Hyderabad is located on the Telangana Plateau, along the banks of the Musi River, in Southern India. It lies at the centre of the Deccan Plateau, which has led to the resource-rich cityís popularity among Indian researchers and industries focusing on manufacturing, education, finance, and medicine. Since the Qutb Shahi dynasty, Hyderabad has been renowned for its picturesque landscapes and luxurious affluence. The Deccan kingdom became independent near the end of the Mughal period, with Hyderabad as its capital. The Asaf Jahís Nizam dynasty later expanded the city across the Musi River. The best time to visit Hyderabad is from October to March when the temperature is relatively cooler. So make sure you plan your trip from Agatti Island to Hyderabad during this period! This city is tropical but dry and local temperatures range from around 10?C during winter to 38?C in the summer. Hyderabad is known for its hills that surround several artificial lakes. Besides this, the public zoological and botanical gardens serve as some of the city's major attractions. Thousands of tourists flock to Hyderabad to see the city's magnificent architecture. Whether you want to see the charming ancient towns or the opulent palaces that have been home to royalty, there is something for everyone. Visitors can hum to the melodious Carnatic music, watch the latest Tollywood movies, and taste the rich flavours of the local food. Dance forms such as Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam are popular here, as well as Marfa music and Qawwali.

About Lakshadweep Airport

Agatti Airport (IATA Code: AGX) is located in the southern part of Agatti Island, Lakshadweep. It is the only airstrip in the archipelago, which lies off the west coast of mainland India. The airportís construction began in 1987 to enable the operation of Dornier 228 aircraft, and it was completed in April 1988. The terminal was merely a temporary structure for a long time until the terminal building, air traffic control tower, etc. were constructed in 2006. Alliance Air connects Bangalore and Cochin with Agatti. The airport is connected to the mainland via Alliance Air, making it one of the most accessible islands and a gateway to Lakshadweep. The view of the airstrip on the island is truly breathtaking. There are no railroads or direct roads connecting the island to the mainland.
