About Prayagraj Airport

Allahabad Airport, now officially called Prayagraj Airport, is located in Bamrauli, 12 km from Allahabad city. It is a military airbase and a public airport hosting domestic flights. The Allahabad Airport, built in 1919, is among the first four international airports in India; there were direct flights to London from this airport until 1932.The airport houses a single 2,560-metre-long and 45-metre-wide runway. December 2018 witnessed the inauguration of a new terminal at the airport. About Lakshadweep Airport

The Agatti Airport (AGX) is situated on the Southern end of Agatti Island and is spread over an area of 45.9 acres. It houses one asphalt runway (1.2 Km long, 30 metres wide). Its only terminal building has a capacity of 150 passengers at peak hours. It was developed in 1987 and inaugurated in April 1988. Agatti Airport also has flights to Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bhopal and Chennai.Agatti Airport has an airconditioned terminal with one boarding gate. The capacity of the terminal is 75 passengers-for arrival and departure each. At present, there are domestic flights from Agatti Island to only Kochi.Passengers can travel from different parts of the islands using ferry services and auto-rickshaws. The airport provides facilities like a wheelchair runway, snack stations, cafeterias, medical aid and much more. The airport also has a twenty-bed tourist amenity facility that offers essential modern comforts.
