About Lakshadweep Airport

Agatti Airport (IATA: AGX, ICAO: VOAT) is located on the island's southern end, in the Indian union territory of Lakshadweep. Located off the west coast of the country, this is the sole airway on the entire archipelago. From 1987ñ88, the airport was built to accommodate Dornier 228 aircraft. The first terminal, which opened in April 1988, was constructed using a modest contemporary style of architecture .Construction on the current terminal began in 2006 and ended in November 2010.
