The airport provides an inter-terminal free shuttle. Wheelchair resources are also provided to the physically challenged and elderly. Agatti Airport (IATA: AGX, ICAO: VOAT) is located on the island's southern end, in the Indian union territory of Lakshadweep. Located off the west coast of the country, this is the sole airway on the entire archipelago. From 1987ñ88, the airport was built to accommodate Dornier 228 aircraft. The first terminal, which opened in April 1988, was constructed using a modest contemporary style of architecture .Construction on the current terminal began in 2006 and ended in November 2010. Only scheduled domestic flights are now operated from the Agatti Airport, which houses a single terminal with one boarding gate. This terminal has a capacity of 25 passengers for both departures and arrivals. The terminal, which is 566 sq m in size, has one security and check-in counter. There are various restaurants and shops inside the airport which provide you with the essentials and food.
