Agatti Airport (AGX) or Agatti Aerodrome is located on the island's southern tip in Lakshadweep. This is the archipelago's lone airstrip, and it is located off the western coast of the country. The airfield was built in the years 1987ñ88 to accommodate Dornier 228 aircraft. The first terminal was opened in April 1988, and it was housed in a modest temporary construction.
