About Ujjain Airport

Indore Airport, also known as Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport (IATA: IDR) is located about 8 km from central Indore and 52 km from Ujjain. Almost all of India's leading airlines, including Air India, Air Asia, Jet Airways, GoAir, Indigo, and others, fly from this airport. Indore Airport, named after Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar, was built in 1945 to serve Indore and the nearby areas of the state of Madhya Pradesh. Agatti Aerodrome (IATA: AGX), the sole airport in the Lakshadweep Islands, is located on Agatti Island. The airport is situated at the base of the island. Agatti Aerodrome, administered by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), has a 1,291-m asphalt runway and a single passenger terminal. The airport was built between 1987 and 1988 and was opened to the public in April 1988. A 45.9-acre plot of land was used to build the airport. At peak times, 150 people can be accommodated in the airport terminal building. Visitors and travellers have access to a parking lot with a surface area of around 2,000 sq m which is suitable for 75 vehicles. Two X-ray baggage screening stations are available at this airport for the convenience and security of passengers.
