The city centre is about 3 km from Biju Patnaik International Airport (IATA: BBI, ICAO: VEBS). The airport is named after the famous aviator, freedom fighter, and former chief minister of Odisha, Biju Patnaik. The airport has two terminals; Terminal 1 serves domestic flights, and Terminal 2 is for international flights.
