About Surat Airport

The Government of Gujarat first developed the Surat Airport for Gujarat Airways and Vayudoot alone. It was later handed over to the Airports Authority of India in 2003. The airport underwent major developmental and modernisation activities before it operated the first commercial flight in 2007. Today, the airport operates domestic flights to and from Surat to almost all major cities in the country.Surat Airport has a single domestic terminal capable of accommodating 240 passengers at once, 120 each in departure and arrival sections. Currently, the airport is undergoing major renovations and is expected to have escalators, elevators, air bridges, and additional seating in the near future.There are numerous options for passengers to dine and shop at Surat Airport.
