Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar National Airport or Indore Airport (IATA: IDR) connects Indore to major Indian cities through domestic flights. It is the busiest airport in Madhya Pradesh and the 24th busiest in the country in terms of passenger footfall. Domestic flights connect Indore to key destinations in India like Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bhopal. However, international flight destinations from Indore airport are limited to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Sharjah. There are two terminals at the airport. Terminal one serves domestic routes and is equipped with two lifts, modern escalators, baggage system, and other facilities. The more recently inaugurated Terminal 2 handles international flights. At peak hours, the airport can accommodate about 700 passengers. Veer Savarkar Airport (IATA: IXZ) is operated by the Indian Navy with the Airport Authority of India (AAI) running the passenger terminal. The airport has only one terminal that serves domestic passengers. The airport is located 2 km from the city center and connects Port Blair to major Indian cities like Kolkata, Delhi, and Chennai among others. While IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India, and GO First operate the most number of flights from the airport, Jai Hans operates sea planes to Havelock island, Diglipur, and Little Andaman. The airport is equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable travel for tourists. It also has a duty-free shop and few restaurants that serve a light snack.
