About Gaya Airport

The airport at Gaya is called Gaya International Airport or Bodhgaya Airport (IATA Code: GAY). Located around 5 km from the temple city, Bodhgaya, the airport is the second-busiest in the state of Bihar. Gaya Airport operates domestic flights to New Delhi, Nagpur and Kolkata and seasonal pilgrimage international flights to Thailand, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and other countries. Spread over 954 acres of land, Bodhgaya Airport houses an integrated terminal building with a capacity of 250 arriving and 250 departing passengers. It has five check-in counters, twelve immigration counters, two security counters and five customs counters for the convenience of travellers. About Gaya

Situated at a distance of around 100 km from Patna in Bihar, Gaya lies beside Phalgu, a tributary river of the Ganges.
