Prayagraj Airport (IATA: IXD) which is also known as Bamrauli Airport was built-in 1919 and served as an international airport till 1946. Now it serves as a domestic airport. It is located at a distance of 12 km from the city centre and can be easily reached by local bus, taxi or cab. It is at an elevation of 726 feet above sea level. It has one runway that is 2,438 m long and 45 m wide. ATMs, pharmacies, baggage counters, check-in counters, and other flight facilities are also available here. The terminals have a capacity of handling 300 passengers at a time. There are several restaurants and shops within the airport, which enables you to buy souvenirs from your trip.
