Kandla Airport (IATA Code: IXY), also called Gandhidham Airport, is situated to the north of Kandla, in the district of Kutch, Gujarat. The airport, which covers an area of 268.2 acres, also has one terminal building that can accommodate 100 passengers at a time. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) oversees the activities of the Kandla Airport . The airport was built in the 1950s. I ndian Airlines began passenger service in 1960 with their Avro aircraft, followed by Vayudoot. The airport is well equipped with wrapping machines, luggage trolleys, and wheelchairs.
