About Kanpur Airport

Kanpur Airport ((IATA: KNU) is known as the Chakeri Airport Kanpur and is located about 9 Kms from Kanpur. The airport used to be a military airport structured for the use of the Indian Air Force. This is the reason that itís known as Chakeri Air Force Station. Commercial flights were started at this airport in 1970, and in 2004, it started operating as a regular domestic airport.
