About Port Blair Airport

Port Blair Airport, officially known as Veer Savarkar International Airport (IATA: IXZ), is located around 2 km south of Port Blair city. The airport is also a civil enclave under the Indian Navy. However, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) manages commercial flights at the airport. The airport got its name from a renowned freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
