About Hyderabad Airport

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (IATA: HYD), otherwise known as Hyderabad International Airport is located about 24 km south of Hyderabad in Shamshabad. It is named after Rajiv Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India. It replaced the former Begumpet Airport and started operations in 2008.
