Agra Airport (IATA: AGR) is a domestic airport and military airbase also known as Kheria Air Force Station. It is located about 5 km from the city of Agra. It is one of the largest air force bases in the country. The single terminal at Agra Airport has a capacity of handling 250 passengers for both arrivals and departures. It has two security check booths, two boarding gates, three immigration counters, five check-in counters, and four customs counters. Travellers can take a cab, taxi, or auto rickshaw from the city to the airport. The airport offers amenities such as free trolleys, a tourist information desk, on-call medical assistance, a lost and found baggage office, wheelchairs and staff assistance, and two X-ray baggage screening centres. There is a handicraft showroom where passengers can buy souvenirs, jewellery made of pearls, and marble and metal inlay items. The airport also has a spa, parlour, restaurants, coffee shops, and a designer apparel store.

It is also well-known for its marble inlay, mirror work, handwoven carpets, and zardosi needlework. Agra is well-known for its regional specialities like petha, dal moth, pani puri, cheela, paneer tikka, dahi bhalla, aloo tikki, papri chaat, and kachoris, and Mughlai cuisine, which comprises creamy gravies aggressively flavoured with a variety of crushed and whole spices, dried fruits, and nuts. One of the city's most important cultural events is the Taj Mahotsav, a 10-day event that showcases the arts, crafts, and culture of Agra, celebrated annually in February. Some of the other popular cultural events include Ram Barat, Kailash Fair, and Bateshwar Fair. The city has pleasant winters, dry summers, and moderate monsoons. So, the best time to visit would be from October to March, which is the winter season, when the average temperature is around 10-12∞C.

Shimla Airport (IATA: SLV) is located around 22 km from Shimla in close proximity to the Jubbarhatti region. The airport with its single runway was constructed by cutting down and levelling a mountain top. The airport was initially opened for private jets to land, but it is now a domestic airport. Alliance Air is the leading domestic carrier that operates flights from this airport to Delhi. The Airports Authority of India manages and operates this airport. There is only one terminal at Shimla Airport. Pawan Hans, a helicopter taxi service, operates a 20-minute journey between Shimla and Chandigarh on every Monday and Friday. The airport offers many facilities like baggage trolleys and escorts, eateries, and shops. You can take a taxi from the airport premises to reach the Jubbarhatti bus stand, which is located around 17.2 km from Shimla Airport. Jutogh railway station, located at a distance of 13.4 km from Shimla airport, is the nearest railhead, and can be reached by taxi service from the airport.

The major events held here are Winter Carnival and Summer Carnival. The handicrafts and artwork of the city include embroidered shawls, leather apparel, wood carved items, such as jewellery boxes, fruit bowls, and idols, beaded and metal jewellery, carpets, and rugs. It is an excellent place to visit during winter as it is covered with snow from November to February.
