Ahmedabad Airport was renamed Sardar Vallabhai Patel International Airport (IATA: AMD) in honour of Indiaís first Deputy Prime Minister. About Srinagar Airport

Sheik ul-Alam International Airport (IATA: SXR) is also called Srinagar Airport. It is named after a group of famous saints who were collectively called Sheik ul-Alam. Located in Badgam, around 11 km from Srinagarís city centre, it handles domestic passengers and seasonal Hajj pilgrims. It has only one terminal to handle passengers. The arrival capacity is 450 pax and the departure capacity is 500 pax. There are two boarding gates for international departures. One is located on the ground floor of the airport, and the other is on the first floor. For domestic passengers, there are two boarding gates on the ground floor and three on the first floor. Passengers arriving in Srinagar can rent a car, engage a rickshaw, or take a taxi to the city centre. Although buses are available from the airport, they run only on specific routes.
