Gorakhpur Airport, also known as Mahayogi Gorakhnath Airport, is located on the Lucknow-Barauni National Highway in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, and is approximately 8 km from Gorakhpur city centre. It is a part of the Gorakhpur Air Force Station and is operated as a civilian airport by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The IATA code of this airport is GOP. It has one terminal serving domestic flights. In 2021, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation for the extension of the airport terminal. The new terminal will also have escalators, lifts, and restaurants.
