About Pune Airport

The Airports Authority of India manages the Pune Airport (IATA code: PNQ), which serves around 2.8 million people each year. It is situated around 10 km from the city. Srinagar International Airport (IATA: SXR), also known as Sheikh ul Alam Airport, is located 14 km from the cityís central district. The airport had a comprehensive makeover in 2009, which included a massive runway expansion, the construction of a new terminal, aerobridges, and the installation of airport operations facilities. The airport has two terminals, one of which is used for domestic flights and the other for seasonal chartered flights. It is well-connected domestically and operates a few international flights to Jeddah and Dubai.The airport offers a snack counter, a tourist information desk, and a gift shop that sells leather items and handicrafts.
