About Tirupati

The holy city of Tirupati is situated in the southwestern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in the Palkonda Hills, about 560 km away from the capital city of Hyderabad. It is known to the Kaliyuga deity Lord Venkateswara, also known as Balaji, and is world renowned for being the home of the Tirupati Balaji Temple, which attracts millions of devotees every year. Dravidian rulers like the Cholas, Pallavas, and the Vijayanagris ruled the city during the 2nd century BC.
