About Tirupati Airport

The Tirupati International Airport is in Renigunta, Andhra Pradesh. It is 14 km from the city of Tirupati. The foundation of the airportís new terminal building was laid in 1993 by P. V. Narasimha Rao, the erstwhile Prime Minister. In 1999, then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurated the upgraded airport. Tirupati Airport was declared an international airport in June 2017.
