About Patna Airport

Patna Airport (IATA Code: PAT), also called Jayaprakash Narayan Airport or Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Airport is named after the freedom fighter and political activist Jayaprakash Narayan. Located about 7 km from the city centre, the international airport is classified as the 9th busiest airport in India. The airport currently has only one runway, around 6,000 ft long, and its single terminal building is spread across 12,000 sq m that can handle 2-3 million passengers annually. A new terminal is also being constructed, which is proposed to be a two-tiered structure that will be accompanied by six aerobridges to park 12-14 aircraft at a given time.
