About Srinagar Airport

The official name of Srinagar Airport is Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport. It is also known as Budgam Airbase as it is an important military air base and is owned by the Indian Air Force that works collectively with the Airport Authority of India to operate both military and civil flights seamlessly. The airport has a joint terminal for accommodating both domestic and international flights. There is a single asphalt runway. The airport is big enough to serve more than 900 passengers at any given point of time. There are future projects under the way to expand the terminal and increase its capacity.

About Trivandrum Airport

Declared as the fifth international airport of India in 1991 by the then Prime Minister of India V. P. Singh, Trivandrum International Airport, also known as Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, is situated in the city of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. The airport is equipped with one long runway, capable of operating any kind of aircraft. There are two terminals within the airport. Terminal 1 is used for all domestic flights (except Air India) and Terminal 2 is used for all the international flights and also the domestic flights run by Air India. Terminal 2 also has an in-line baggage screening system, which is a recent development towards the betterment of the airport. The airport not only caters to common people but is also used by the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Coast Guard for their training and operation purposes.
