We didn't get Rooms as we went in peak vacation season, finally we got Dormitory in 4th floor for an affordable cost, Have to say Dormitory was just amazing and fantastic with 8 beds which was highly neat, restrooms we very neat and hygienic. I felt Dormitory was better than Rooms 👌 Just one word Fantastic ✨

We stayed in the fourth floor dormitory during our visit to Hampi. As it was a last minute plan, we didn't get dedicated rooms and so we chose to stay in this dormitory based on reviews. We were 2 families with ladies and kids and we booked 5 beds in a 6 bed dormitory, considering a single additional traveler in the dorm won't be much of a disturbance. We had already informed the hotel management that we will reach by 8 PM and we reached on time. Upon reaching, the reception people did the formalities and took us to the dorms area. We were given a 10 bedded dorm instead of a 6 bedded one. The management people simply said 6 bedded dorms are already full and so we have to stay in the 10 bedded one only. We had a hard time with the reception people to make them understand why we chose the 6 bedded one, and finally after a long conversation, they agreed to give us an 8 bedded dorm with a promise that they will give that complete dorm to us with 3 beds left empty. We were strictly told only to use 5 beds and not to touch other 3. We agreed and checked in and went for dinner and when we came back they asked us to allow 1 more guest in the our dorm. As it was a single person, we agreed to it. The reception people asked us not to lock the dorm saying it's the procedure. Everything settled and we all went to bed. By midnight 1 AM, one additional person just like that entered our dorm and slept in one of the vacant beds. Most of us were already slept, I was the only one who noticed him, but considering enquiring him at that time would disturb others sleeping, so I made up my mind to enquire about it by morning. By 3 AM, I just woke up accidentally and this person was standing near one of the ladies of our group. It was shocking for me and asked him what he was doing. He simply stared at me for some time and said he had to use the rest room, but actually the rest room was in the opposite direction. It was very strange and suspicious and by then only I got to know he was DRUNK. He didn't expect anyone to get up by that time and so he fled the scene and didn't come back to our dorm. He was definitely trying to do something suspicious, probably stealing or misbehaving with the guests. After some time, we heard some noises outside our dorm and when checked, this same person went to one of the other dorms and misbehaved with the people there. They caught him red handed and took him out. When further enquired, to our shock we got to know he is one of the hotel staffs itself, named Raghav, and he use to sleep in the dormitory regularly alongside the guests. When we asked him to call the hotel manager, he did some drama and ran away from the scene. Next morning, we enquired at the reception and asked to share the hotel manager number, but they tried to convince us by saying some dumb excuses and were not ready to share his number. We somehow managed to get the number and checked out. We called the manager after several hours expecting that the so called "in-charges" would've already informed him about the incident by that time, but he was completely unaware of the incident. It was very clear that the hotel in-charges tried to cover up the incident within themselves. The manager ensured that he will check with the them and get back to us, but we never got a call from him too. Hotel infrastructure is good and well maintained, but the staff behavior's worst here. We were initially afraid whether the other guests of the dorms could disturb us, but we never thought that we would be disturbed or mishandled by the hotel staffs itself. Guess it is high time that the hotel management should jump in and do a thorough investigation on the hotel staffs.
