        The common areas are clean, and the hotel's interior design exudes a sense of comfort. The staffs at Ashok residency provided excellent service throughout my stay. They were courteous, attentive, and always willing to assist with any inquiries or requests. The check-in process was smooth, and the concierge was particularly helpful in providing local recommendations. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed. The bed was cozy, and the amenities provided were sufficient for a pleasant stay. Housekeeping did a commendable job in maintaining cleanliness, and the room service was prompt and efficient. While the hotel restaurant offered a decent selection of dishes, I found the dining experience to be slightly lacking in terms of variety. The food quality was good, but I believe there's room for improvement in expanding the menu options. Hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to access key attractions and transportation hubs. It's situated in a relatively quiet area, providing a peaceful retreat while still being close to the city's main points of interest.

        1. Room was clean & neat. 2. We stayed here in the middle of flood days(4/12). They really took a great care & provided so much support. Initially there were no rooms available. I went with my kids & Wife. So they understood our situation and gave an excellent support. I really want to appreciate the front desk lady employee. Without her we would not get a room. Thanks. 3. I really recommend this place for a great stay. Thanks.

        Rooms are clean ! But the staffs are worst and make you feel very bad by the way they talk! And will also make you wait and won't care about your time! The receptionist lady never behaves professionally once I complained the rooms which I got in fourth floor wasn't good and she was like that's all we have ,have it or leave !Food was very costly!! Worst behaviour from hotel management learn to respect customers

        Hi everyone. If I could opt to rate ‘0’, I would have happily chose that for this hotel. Details of my stay and experience at this place is given below. Stay period: 15th to 17th Jan 2024 3 adults (My wife, her brother and myself) Booked through agoda and paid in advance for 3 person. We travelled all the way from Kerala to Chennai by Road and reached Hotel Ashok Residency at around 9am in the morning. Our checkin time was 11.30 am, so we went for breakfast and came back at 11.30 am. The receptionist at that time was Mr. VIJAY and he was the most disrespectful and impolite hotel employee I have ever met in my journey. He demanded ID’s from all 3 of us with arrogance and looked at us judgementally. After verifying the ID’s, he continued with pride that, he has the authority to cancel our booking as we are a group of 2 men and 1 woman. And only ‘Agoda’ is responsible, and we can contact them to arrange another hotel room in Chennai, as we booked and paid through Agoda. This made us angry and we questioned him if they ever mentioned any of these policies /rules in any of their booking sites? And his reply was astonishing. He said, they don’t have to do that, but they still can cancel our booking and let us settle our stay with Agoda only. At this moment, my wife started to record this conversation and once he noticed the camera, he reduced a bit of arrogance in his tone, but continued to babble the same foolishness again and again. End of the day, we asked him, if we have the room or not, and he said, ‘yes’ and sent us to Room 206 which was completely low class and unhygienic. We spent 2 days there counting each and every minute. On 17th, our checkout time was at 12pm and we were on our last minute packing and checking when we received a call from the receptionist (this time, a lady) at 11.45 am asking us to come down as it is our time to check out. My wife answered the phone and asked her to wait till at least 12pm to call as it is one of the worst gesture for a hotel staff to ask a customer to leave 15 mins earlier than their actual check out time. And we checked out at sharp 12pm, even though we checked in 45 mins late on the 1st day due to the issues with the receptionist VIJAY. In total, HOTEL ASHOK RESIDENCY at Mount Poonamalle Road is one nasty place to ruin your whole vacation if you are planning to stay in Chennai. I don’t ever recommend this place even to my worst of enemies. I hope this review is helpful. Thanks. Note: The whole video recording of the staff misbehaving to us is with us.

          Booking Policy
          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
          The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.
          Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.
          If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.
          Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.
          Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.
          The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.
          Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.
          Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.
          For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in.           Hotel Cancellation Policy
          User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.
          Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.
          User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.
          Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

          If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

          Modification and Reschedule Policy
          Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.
          After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
