Just returned from an amazing trip from Kashmir! Letting Mr. Hamid Dunoo plan the entire Kashmir trip was probably the wisest decision. Dunoo family has been in the Houseboat hospitality for more than 100 years now! With such a rich experience in the business, you can blindly rely on Hamid bhai. Sit back, relax and let captain Hamid bhai take charge of your trip! We had an itinerary preplanned by Hamid bhai but when he met us he quickly understood our choices and altered our itinerary! He took us to offbeat places like Doodhpathri and Naranaag. Out of the 6 nights, we had 4 nights’ stay at the Golden Flower Heritage Houseboat. The Houseboat is located in the Nigeen Lake which is very peaceful and serene, far better than the very chaotic Dal Lake. It is highly recommended to stay at the Nigeen Lake which is not crowded like the Dal Lake. The hosts, Hamid bhai and his sons Mudasir, Umer and Gouhar are so kind and helpful, they will go to any extent to make your stay in the Houseboat comfortable and memorable! We were greeted to a beautifully decorated room at the Golden Flower Heritage Houseboat. The room and the entire Houseboat were super clean! After local sightseeing on the first day, on the second day, Hamid bhai drove us down to Doodhpathri. Doodhpathri is around 2 hour drive from the houseboat. There were very few tourists there and the meadows were heavenly! On the 3rd day we visited Sonamarg which is a beautiful place and had a comfortable night stay at the hotel arranged by Hamid bhai. On the 4th day we left for Pahalgam, did sightseeing during the day and rested at night in a cozy hotel. On the 5th day early morning we headed out for fishing in river. This, I would say was the highlight of our trip. Hamid bhai got us the permit for Angling at one of the best spot (Masjid beat) which is generally reserved for the VIPs. Angling in the river was a very unique experience. The fish catcher helped us catch around 10 good sized Rainbow Trouts. Hamid bhai stored the catch in an ice box and we headed for the houseboat. In the afternoon, on the houseboat, Hamid bhai arranged for us the best lunch we have ever had! Trout fry with chips and fried tomatoes!!! It was the most delicious fish I have ever had in my life! Trout fry has spoiled all the other fish for me😬 On the 6th day we left for Naranaag as suggested by Hamid bhai, which is around 2 hour drive from the houseboat. Naranaag is a very scenic place with ancient Temple ruins (dated circa A.D. 724-61) and picturesque valley on the bank of river Wangath. We trekked for around 3 hours and then had lunch sitting on a carpet under the tree on the river bank! Hamid bhai had carried tiffins and made all the lunch arrangements! Having lunch and resting on the river bank with the relaxing sound of river flowing and rustling of the leaves was the perfect rejuvenating way to end our summer Kashmir journey! Looking forward to trekking the Kashmir Great Lakes and also touring Kashmir in the winter with Mr. Hamid Dunoo! So grateful to Hamid bhai and his family for the experience and memories we will cherish forever!

The Golden Flower Heritage Houseboat offers a picturesque and serene setting. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing excellent hospitality. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is delicious, including local Kashmiri Kahwa. The houseboat provides complimentary shikara ride, making it a great value for money. Highly recommended for a unique stay.

I had an exceptional stay at Abdul Hamid's houseboat. The owner's hospitality was outstanding, adding a personal touch to the experience. The rooms were not only clean but also cozy, making it a comfortable retreat. The service provided was top-notch, catering to every need promptly and attentively. The food served was a delight, offering a delicious taste of the local cuisine. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the warm ambiance, impeccable service, and delightful culinary offerings during my stay. Abdul Hamid's houseboat is truly a remarkable choice for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Hamid Bhai ,what a fine Kashmiri gentleman . You want to visit real Kashmir and it's beauty ,talk to him You want to talk and understand Kashmir a little ,talk to him. You will truely enjoy the company. We ,family of 3 visited kashmir and his houseboat in ocober mid and right from day 1 it was pleasure . Golden flower heritage Houseboat is well maintained and offers a super comfortable stay at nigeen lake , Great views ,Great veg food made for us. All of us including my 6 Yr old son enjoyed a lot at his houseboat.Calm and serene. We visited sonmarg ,gulmarg and pagalgam too and I say this honestly that both beauty of kashmir and quality of conversations with Hamid bhai while travelling in his car was both equally Great. I don't typically write reviews but still I am writing this one, 5 on 5 most definately.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
