One of the best offbeat locations, and the stay has a whole classy feel. The architecture is very different and looks like old time designs. The dining room has huge glass panes so that you can see the view while you have the delicious food.

This places is 10-15 kms away from the Kullu town. It gives a perfect view of the Western Himalayan mountains and the Beas River. The traditional Kathkuni architecture gives the place its rich feel. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the Manalis and Kasols of the world, which makes it peaceful even if you are going there towards the year end. Me and my wife stayed there for 3 nights and fell in love with the place. The food is homecooked by Balbir Paaji, who makes you feel belonged. It is freshly prepared, has a local flavor and the taste stays on your tongue for quite some time. We tried their Rajma (Himachali style - best dish I had during my entire HP journey), Chicken Rara, Dal Makhni and other breakfast items. The owners will take you through a tour of the place including the Apple and Peach plantations. We went there during winters, however when these trees bear fruits around May-Aug, the place must be nowhere short of heaven. We will visit this place again for sure. You may want to ditch the commercially sabotaged accomodations of Manali, Kasol and rather visit this gem in Kullu. It will have a lasting impression for sure

Beautiful property... The view from the top is absolutely gorgeous... The food and the Hospitality is great as well... Take the rooms on the first floor so that you can enjoy the balcony view... The garden is lush and beautiful. They have an apple orchard and serve fresh apple juice to the guests. Their kitchen wrap up time is around 10.30 at night so eat dinner accordingly. The place offers good value for money and I would totally recommend it.

Wonderful stay at Kothi Kais for 3 days last week. The rooms were superb, the food was delicious, and the property was absolutely wonderful! Balbir is a great chef and Gopal was there to help us throughout our stay with whatever we required! Our dog, Leo, especially loved the gardens and orchards full of fresh fruits and flowers. Looking forward to going back and sipping chai with a book on the wonderful balcony area on the first floor.

The view is amazing, but ground floor rooms are not comfortable as the upper floor ones create disturbance, even walking sounds come from cieling, music n the one who have sleep issues should not prefer these rooms, top floor room was awesome. Food was also homely, but it's costly. The staff is good but I think they should hire more people sothat people could have their meals on time . Only 2 people are there in staff.
