Disappointing and Unwelcoming Experience at Phoenix Hotel, Pune I recently stayed at the Phoenix Hotel in Pune, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. My flight arrived at midnight, leading to my early morning arrival at the hotel around 7 am. Initially, the front office staff checked me in without any issues, processing all necessary documents smoothly. However, merely 15-20 minutes after settling into my room, I received an unexpected call from the front desk informing me that I would be charged an additional 1500 Rs for early check-in. This sudden charge was not only surprising but also disappointing, especially since it was not communicated to me at the time of check-in. When I expressed my concerns and unwillingness to pay the extra fee, the staff repeatedly cited the hotel’s policy. Seeking a resolution, I offered to wait in the hotel lobby and officially check in at the standard time of 12 pm. Astonishingly, the hotel agreed to this and had me wait in the lobby for several hours. This experience was highly inconvenient and showcased a lack of hospitality and customer service from the hotel’s side. It’s critical for hotels to be clear about their policies, especially concerning additional charges, and to communicate them upfront to avoid such unpleasant surprises. The inability of the staff to provide a more accommodating solution or even express empathy for my situation was disappointing. Overall, my stay at the Phoenix Hotel was overshadowed by this unwelcoming experience. For a hotel that prides itself on hospitality, it fell short in showing basic courtesy and understanding towards a guest’s circumstances. This experience has significantly impacted my view of the hotel, and I would urge potential guests to be wary of hidden charges and inflexible policies.

Rooms are spacious and clean. It's an old style hotel with limited rooms. Will not recommend it for elderly people as it doesn't have a lift for the 2nd floor. A very quiet place in the heart of the city. Restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner for guests. Good place to stay with family. It's a simple decent hotel that would not be good for people looking for luxury and comfort

Front desk staff charged for 3 small coffee stains on the bedsheet.. if only i knew this was going to be the case, I would bring soap to wash their bedsheets for them. And then I was told by the manager that these charges are these so that you are careful the next time. Wow... Apart from the rooms being decent.. there is nothing great about this place. The traffic is just horrible..

We loved our stay at Hotel Phoenix. Sunita the staff from the floor supervisor was helpful. Rooms were clean, food was nice. Overall had great stay. Only one issue at this location that it is beside factory which leaves bad smell. The smell is so bad that one cannot stay outside for even 5 mins walk. That's the only thing otherwise it is best.

I visited pune with my brother and wife and we booked a room for 3. We were denied the room because apparently 3 people of different genders are not allowed while it has nothing mentioned on their terms or in any other fine print (ofcourse how could they since this rule makes no sense)

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
