OAK FIELD INN

We had wonderful atay at Hotel Oak Fiwld Inn. The rooms were spacious with a large bed that was comfortable for a family of 4. They provided towels as well as soaps and door mats where they were needed. They had working TV set with many available channels including Wifi. The AC was effective as it quickly brought down the rooms temperature. The entire team had great customer service and were very helpful. I would highly recommend and will definitely come back if we get the chance to visit Kochi again.

Date: Aug 24-26, 2023 No of persons: 2 Room type: Double bed, Non AC I recently stayed at the OAK FIELD INN from August 24th to 26th, 2023, along with my wife. We booked a non-AC room as all the air-conditioned rooms were already occupied. Positive Aspects: One of the few positives about this hotel is its proximity to Ernakulam South Railway station, being just 200 meters away. Additionally, the availability of both hot and cold water for showering is appreciated. The room was equipped with basic furniture including an almirah, table, and mirror. Negative Aspects: However, my experience at the OAK FIELD INN was marred by several negative aspects that left me greatly disappointed. To start, despite booking a double bed room, we were provided with two single beds pushed together, which was not what we expected. The mattresses on the beds were in a deplorable state – old, worn out, and uncomfortable. Sleeping on them caused significant back pain, making the nights rather distressing. The receptionist's lack of hospitality was palpable during our entire stay, leaving us with minimal assistance and an unwelcome feeling. I couldn't help but wonder about the decision-maker who hired this individual. Our room was located on the third floor, and on the day of our checkout, we were the only guests left on that floor. Shockingly, the staff turned off the lift, forcing us to carry our luggage down the stairs. This not only inconvenienced us but also highlighted the hotel's lack of consideration for its guests. The condition of the bathroom was equally disappointing. It was incredibly cramped, providing very little space for showering and using the toilet. This was particularly surprising and inconvenient, as I have never encountered such a small and poorly designed bathroom in any accommodation. In fact, even the bathrooms at KSRTC bus stands offer more space and comfort in comparison. In conclusion, my stay at the OAK FIELD INN from August 24th to 26th, 2023, was far from pleasant. The negative aspects such as the uncomfortable beds, lack of hospitality, and the subpar bathroom overshadowed any positive points that the hotel might have had. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this establishment to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
